Looking for something Specific?
Q: Why can't I hear any music playing when I visit your site?
A: The video banners you see on various pages of our website are for aesthetic purposes only, they do not have any accompanying sound. If you would like to hear audio examples of our pieces you may do so by selecting any of the products on our website and clicking on the audio example, or by visiting our YouTube, or SoundCloud page.
Q: Why am I being charged $51 for shipping?
A: All octavo orders must meet a minimum of twenty copies. If you have placed an order under twenty copies then a shipping fee is applied to your order so that your total will equal a twenty copy order.
Q: What is an octavo?
A: An octavo is a size of sheet music that was derived from standard printing practices of the 19th century. It usually refers to the way the music is produced (via folded sheets) but, as in our case, "octavo" can also be used as a generic term for a choral score containing all voice parts with piano accompaniment.
Q: Do you sell anything other than choral music?
A: Currently our catalog only includes choral/orchestral works. However, please check back in the coming months as we plan to expand our catalog. You can also subscribe to our mailing list to hear the latest updates from Barlow Bradford Publishing.
Q: How do I purchase music from your site?
A: Simply head to our "Catalog" page where you can sort by category or composer, then choose the piece you are interested in. Once you have clicked on the piece, in most cases you will need to select either " Octavo" or "Orchestration", then enter in a quantity and add to cart. If you are experiencing any difficulties please send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may assist you.
Q: How can I purchase an additional/replacement orchestral score?
A: You can purchase additional or replacement scores by clicking here. Please note that additional or replacement scores are only available to those who have purchased the complete orchestration.
Q: How is your music shipped?
A: We offer several different shipping methods based on whatever time constraints you have. Our most popular shipping option is free shipping via USPS. If you have special shipping instructions please feel free to send an e-mail to email@example.com.
Q: When will my order ship once it's been placed it?
A: Most orders are processed and shipped within two business days of being placed.
Q: I ordered my music weeks ago, where is it?
A: After an order ships you will receive a tracking number via e-mail. If you have checked that number and are still experiencing a problem, please send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may assist you.
Q: Can I download your music?
A: Currently we do not offer digital downloads of any of our sheet music.
Q: Can I make copies of your music once I buy it?
A: No. It is not only illegal to make a copy of copyrighted music in any form, it is also unethical. By purchasing copies from the publisher you ensure that the composers are compensated for their hard work. By supporting the composers, you are also supporting their craft, ensuring that they will continue to write and publish new music, which will benefit everyone in the future.
Q: Can I sell my music at www.barlowbradford.com?
A: If you would like to publish with us, please send us an e-mail at email@example.com with the title "Publishing Application". Inside that e-mail please include an audio example (if possible) and a score in PDF format of what you consider to be your greatest work. Please keep in mind that all composers published by Barlow Bradford Publishing are hand-selected, and there is no guarantee that you will be selected.
